ITBIS, tax receipts, e-CF through Pixel Bill, the 606, 607 and 608 reports, and payroll.

Available once DGII certification is complete

Electronic invoicing (e-CF) is marked as coming soon: Pixel One does not issue e-CF yet. The steps on this page describe how it will be set up.

What it is for

A company in the Dominican Republic works under the DGII's rules: ITBIS, tax receipts, electronic invoicing (e-CF), the 606, 607 and 608 reports, and payroll with the TSS. This page gathers what changes in Pixel One for a Dominican company.

Dominican Republic only

The e-CF, DGII reports and payroll screens are in Spanish only, because they are Dominican. This page names their labels in Spanish, with a translation.

Before you start

  • A company created with Country Dominican Republic (Create your company) and its RNC in Settings, General.
  • For electronic invoicing: your .p12 digital certificate "para Procedimiento Tributario", from an INDOTEL-accredited provider, in the company's RNC, and the e-NCF ranges the DGII authorized for you in the Oficina Virtual.

Your company starts with these taxes, in Inventory, Taxes:

TaxRateUse
ITBIS18 %The default for every new product
ITBIS16 %Products with the reduced rate
ITBIS0 %Taxed at a zero rate
Propina legal (legal tip)10 %Restaurants and bars
ISC16 %Alcohol, tobacco and other excise goods

A product carries a single ITBIS. An exempt product carries none. Prices usually include ITBIS (Prices already include taxes in Settings, Operations), and the ITBIS you pay on purchases is recorded as ITBIS paid in advance.

Tax receipts at the point of sale

Under the customer, the Tax receipt says which e-CF the sale carries:

ReceiptWhen
Consumo (E32)The default: the consumer sale
Crédito fiscal (E31)The customer has an RNC or cédula and asks for it
E44, E45, E46Special regimes, government and exports: the customer's regime decides
Documento internoNo tax value; only if the company allows it and you have the permission
Note

A sale of RD$250,000 or more needs the customer's RNC, cédula or foreign ID. A customer with Siempre crédito fiscal (always fiscal credit) on their record starts at E31.

Electronic invoicing with Pixel Bill

Once available, Pixel One will issue e-CF through Pixel Bill, which signs each receipt, sends it to the DGII and keeps the answer. The sale will be recorded at once; the e-NCF, the security code and the QR will arrive in seconds and be printed on the invoice. If Pixel Bill or the DGII are slow, the invoice will say "e-CF pendiente" and be sent on its own when they are back.

  1. Connect the company

In the Electronic invoicing group, open e-CF settings and click Conectar con Pixel Bill (connect to Pixel Bill). The company needs its RNC before connecting.

  2. Fill in the issuer profile

In Perfil del emisor (issuer profile): Razón social, Nombre comercial, Dirección, phone and Correo. Choose the Ambiente (environment): Pruebas (TesteCF) to practice, Certificación (CerteCF) during the DGII's process and Producción (eCF) afterwards. There is no going back from production.

  3. Upload the digital certificate

In Certificado digital, choose the Archivo .p12 and its Contraseña (password), and click Subir certificado. Pixel One tells you whether it Coincide con la empresa (matches the company). It is stored encrypted in Pixel Bill and never shown again.

  4. Add your e-NCF ranges

In Secuencias de e-NCF, click Agregar secuencia for each range the DGII authorized: the Tipo, Desde (from), Hasta (to) and when it Vence (expires). A number used is never repeated.

  5. Get certified and activate

The Asistente de certificación (certification assistant) walks you through the DGII's process step by step (the test set, the simulation, the printed representation...). What is sent during certification has no tax effect. When you are done, switch to production and click Activar.

  6. Set up the point of sale

In Comprobante en el punto de venta, choose the Comprobante por defecto (default receipt, E32 or E31) and, if you need it, Permitir vender como Documento interno (sin comprobante fiscal).

Warning

The law requires a tax receipt on every sale. The Documento interno has no tax value and does not go to the 607: turn it on only if you know what you are doing. Pixel One asks you to accept the risk before allowing it.

Each invoice shows its e-CF status: pending, accepted, rejected or with an error. In Electronic receipts you see them all, with what the DGII said, and retry the ones that failed. When a range is about to run out or expire, Home and the point of sale warn you.

DGII reports: 606, 607 and 608

In DGII reports you choose the month and download the file ready to upload to the Oficina Virtual:

ReportWhat it holds
606 · Compras de bienes y serviciosThe month's receipts and expenses with a tax receipt, with the ITBIS and what was withheld.
607 · VentasThe sales e-CF the DGII took, with the payment methods and what customers withheld. Needs the Pixel Bill connection.
608 · Comprobantes anuladosThe numbers voided before reaching the DGII. Needs the Pixel Bill connection.

When you void an invoice you choose the Void type (608). Confirm each purchase's codes with your accountant.

Payroll

The Payroll group has Employees (cédula, monthly salary, frequency, AFP and ARS), Payroll runs (regular or the Christmas bonus, regalía pascual: built, approved and paid, with their pay slips), Severance (notice and severance pay) and Parameters (the TSS rates, the minimum contributable salary and the ISR scale, with the date they apply from). Check the parameters with the TSS and the DGII before your first payroll.

Common mistakes

  • "Fiscal credit needs an RNC or a cédula." Add the ID on the customer's record, or sell as consumer.
  • "No valid e-NCF numbers are left." The sale is refused. Request a new range in the Oficina Virtual and add it in Secuencias de e-NCF.
  • "This company is not connected to Pixel Bill yet." Connect it in e-CF settings.
  • "An e-CF was rejected." Open it in Electronic receipts: it says what the DGII answered.
