Getting started
Set up the company
Details, logo, languages, printing and custom fields.
What it is for
Settings keeps the details printed on your invoices and documents, and the rules of how your business runs: whether prices include taxes, what paper you print on, what language documents come out in. Do it once, before your first sale.
Before you start
- You need the Configure the company permission (the owner and administrators have it).
- Have your logo (an image), the address and the business's phone numbers at hand.
Open Settings in the Company group of the menu. The screen has seven tabs; each one is saved with Save changes.
The steps
General
Legal name, Trade name, the entity type, the tax ID and the Slogan. The Business type, the country and the currency are shown but cannot be changed: they were chosen when the company was created.
Location and contact
The address, the phones, the Email, the Billing email (where you receive invoices from your suppliers) and the Website. They are printed in your invoices' header.
Representative
Who signs on behalf of the company: Full name, ID document and Title.
Branding: logo, languages and printed text
- Logo: click Upload logo. It is printed on invoices, quotes and receipts.
- Document language: Spanish or English. Invoices, quotes, orders, receipts and credit notes print in this language.
- Company language: the app's language for members who did not choose another. Each person can choose their own in Your account.
- Invoice footer and Quote terms: the text printed at the foot.
Operations: the everyday rules
- Prices already include taxes: turn it on if your counter prices are charged as they are. It changes all your totals, so decide it before invoicing.
- Allow selling without stock: to sell what the count did not record. Off, the sale is refused with the product's name.
- Time zone: decides what "today" is in sales, the cash register and reports.
- Quote validity (days), Days to return or exchange, Default warranty (months) and the Return and warranty policy, printed at the foot of the invoice and the ticket.
Printing
- Invoice and receipt paper: Thermal 80 mm, Thermal 58 mm, Letter or A4. That is how invoices come out when printed.
- Page size: the paper of Print on sheet, for when the customer wants the invoice on a sheet.
- Logo for thermal printers: thermal printers print only in black. Without this logo, the ticket carries your logo turned black and white.
TipIf each cash register has its own printer, choose its paper in Cash registers, under This cash register's printer. That choice wins over the company's.
Custom fields
Your business's own details that Pixel One does not ask for: a customer's route, a product's size, an order's color. Choose where it goes (Customers, Products, Suppliers or Orders), click New field, give it a name, a type (text, number, amount, date, list of options...) and whether it is required. It appears in the form's Extras tab and on the record page.
By country
Prices are typed without tax and the sales tax is added at checkout. The company starts with the app and the documents in English; change it in Branding if you prefer Spanish. Choose your state's Time zone.
Common mistakes
- "The ticket prints tiny or cut off." In the browser's print dialog pick the thermal printer, the roll paper (80 or 58 mm) and 100 % scale.
- "I changed prices with taxes and the totals changed." That is expected: decide that box before invoicing.
- "I do not see Settings in the menu." You are missing the Configure the company permission.
Next step
Invite your team so everyone signs in with their own account.
